ZooKeys 920:1-1089.:1017 (taxonomy [This species is likely not an Apanteles, as stated even in the original description (Fernandez-Triana et al. 2014e). We have re-examined the holotype and many paratypes in the CNC; in addition to the inflexible hypopygium and relatively short ovipositor and sheaths (noted in the original description), we have also found that the vannal lobe is mostly setose, which would exclude this species from Apanteles. However, we cannot conclude on which genus would be the best placement at the moment, as other morphological traits are variable between Dolichogenidea, Pholetesor or even Parapanteles; and molecular data (DNA barcodes) is not conclusive either.]).
